It's Canada Day snd we have a thunder storm in Ottawa. I feel for [View all]

the crowds who were downtown. I was caught in a rainstorm on Parliament Hill when I was about 11. I was with cousins. Fortunately for us the huge Canada flag was wrapped in a huge piece of plastic and they let that go down onto the crowd below the Peace Tower. So some of us huddled under plastic in the rain. It was actually fun to get soaked in a crowd. But now that tornado alley has moved east thunder storms are more frequent and happen earlier in the year. They do the fireworks on the Ottawa River. I wonder if they will go ahead?
