1. Wisconsin used to be known, a long time ago,

for it's progressive politics. It was the state of Robert "fighting Bob" La Follette. There are streets in the city I live in that are named after him. A politician from a century ago that made Wisconsin one of those reasonable, progressive midwestern states that have been a great place to live ever since, despite the winters.

I hope that kind of reasonableness is still progressing.
