EVERETT Everett police arrested a suspect Sunday related to the case of an abandoned dog inside a zipped suitcase in an Everett dumpster.
On. Nov 18, Everett patrol officers responded to a report of a gray/blue pit bull in a dumpster behind a restaurant in the 8800 block on Evergreen Way.
The dog had exposed injuries, a rope tied around her neck and signs of malnourishment, according to an Everett Police Department press release. Patrol officers transported the dog, now named Binny, to the Everett Animal Shelter, where she recovered.
Upon arrival at the shelter, staff discovered she had recently given birth, according to a People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals press release. PETA offered a reward of up to $6,000 for information that leads to the arrest and conviction on cruelty charges of those responsible.
