MONTPELIER, Vt. - With a gun reform bill passed in the Vermont House and Senate, all that's needed now is Governor Phil Scott's signature on the bill.

The Vermont Senate passed the historic gun reform bill Friday, which includes raising the gun purchasing age to 21 and expanded background checks.

The house passed its version earlier this week which included restrictions on high-capacity magazines, ten rounds for longs guns and 15 rounds for handguns. It also bans bump stocks in Vermont.

In anticipation of a legislative ban on standard capacity rifle magazines, the editors of RECOIL magazine have worked with MAGPUL Industries to facilitate the delivery and distribution of 30-round PMAG rifle magazines free of charge to Vermont citizens.
