They have given up trust in either of the parties to make a difference. The Democrats have nibbled around the edges but have not done anything major such as raising the minimum wage. That's why the independents are growing, and Trump's approval rating is plummeting, but the Democrats are not gaining. Yes, we are winning the special elections by good margins. The polls indicate that they are voting with us as a check on Trump, not because they have confidence in us.
