Marni Magaro was unloading cases of beer Monday night in Enola when two customers walked into the cooler, looking for the coldest brew they could find.
Magaro, 21, was wearing a mask to protect against COVID-19, but the men were not, despite a sign on the door at Enola Beer and Soda, at 50 E. Shady Lane, saying masks are mandatory.
Magaro didnt mention the lack of masks as the men asked questions about the beer she had in stock while standing just a foot or two away. She felt uncomfortable and cornered, so she maneuvered her way out, pointed to some Miller Lite, and started to walk away.
Thats when one of the men surprised her by grabbing the front of her face mask.
Take that (expletive) off, the man said as he pulled the mask over her head, taking her eyeglass and hat with it. You dont need that. This is all (expletive) anyway.
Magaro, who happened to be alone at the store in that moment, didnt want to escalate the situation.
She said nothing until she reached the front counter behind a wall of plexiglass to ring up their purchase.
In the moment, I was freaked out, she said. I couldnt believe the audacity.
....
Magaro shared the information with police, so they could have the information for their records, but she didnt want to pursue criminal action. She also shared the video on Facebook, but edited it to try to avoid identifying the offender. She said she doesnt want an internet mob to go after him. Instead, she wants to spread the word about respecting peoples decisions to wear masks.
The owners decided the man should be permanently barred from the store.

Not sure if its fair to post the employees name and workplace while not identifying the person who did it. Guess we'll see what trolls come out.
