1. Interesting. Some of the mounds appear to cut right across the fairways . . .

in some places, just in front of a green. Can't tell from the image how golfers traverse the mound; there could be a path up and over the mound, but I wonder how steep that would be, especially in a golf cart.

Of course, being so close to the course (right on it, in fact) explains why access is so limited to leased land. I can't imagine how an historical society will raise enough money to buy back the lease, so I suspect their best hope is a favorable ruling from the State Supreme Court.
