black politicians with an immigrant background? Quick google says that his parents are from Grenada.

So if I understand her blacksplaining, to be black, you have to be arrested, experience domestic violence and live in poverty with barely anything to eat. I am not familiar with his work in politics, but this sounds like pure republican racist bullshit.
