2. Things I did on my visit to NYC, my hometown

Last summer, on my 60th birthday, driving along Surf Ave with my brother, heading towards Brighton beach, I spotted Nathan's and said we had to stop. I got us each an order of fries, no hot dogs. That was the morning I arrived.

Stayed in NYC with a friend for 2 nights, during restaurant week, ate at 2 nice places but also managed to hit 2 pizza parlors. Nothing like NY pizza.

The other food highpoint was finding a Mr Softie ice cream truck stationed by a park, and enjoying a mixed vanilla and chocolate cone. I'd almost forgotten we stopped at Nathan's.

Thanks for the memories, and the interesting article.
