This detail was added to the story today:

Li said she was at the store to buy several iPhones for family members in China. She bought two on Friday and was looking to get more, but the store asked her to leave because of company policy that limits iPhone purchases to two per customer.

This still doesn't make sense to me. All they had to do was refuse to let her purchase the phones; why did she have to leave the store? Unless she was at the cash register and was making a scene because they wouldn't sell them to her (and perhaps not able to understand what the problem was).

But no matter what, it was cowardly for the cops to shoot her with the stun gun if she did not have the physical ability to actually resist the arrest.
