1. I would think impeachment is a 2 stop process that ends with removal from office.

step 1 is the impeachment, which is the voting on charges
step 2 is the "trial" which ends on voting to remove from office.

he can't "keep his job" if the vote goes for removal....

the "impeachment" is nothing more than bringing the charges and I don't see how that would mandate a suspension from duty under any scenario and its a non-issue
