Charlotte Douglas International Airport is run by the city. All well and good and supported by the then "Mayor for Life" Pat McCrory. The North Carolina General Assembly has been and is still jealous of this fact. Mr. McCrory changed his tune when he became Governor.

In my opinion that incident, HB2, and the I-77 tolls are why he was a 1 term governor and currently a radio host on 1110/99.3 WBT radio

Unsaid in this matter was black mayorships in Charlotte at the time, Patrick Cannon and Anthony Foxx, as well as 3 other Democratic mayors. The city owns and operates the airport and Vi Lyles is the current A-A lady running the city and is up for re-election.
