Klobuchar is pretty popular here as a senator, and she's certainly competent enough. But it appears that even a lot of Minnesotans don't see her as presidential material. My concern has always been that she doesn't seem tough enough and that she's too willing to avoid controversy. She'd be a good attorney general, though, and if the new Democratic president were to appoint her to that position, Walz would appoint another Democrat to her Senate seat. Maybe Al Franken?
