3. Update: Fired KTTC reporter gets job offer

James Bunner, the KTTC-TV multimedia journalist fired for wearing a "Make America Great Again" hat at a Trump rally, has been offered a job by the campaign of GOP Secretary of State candidate John Howe.

Tim Droogsma, campaign manager for the Howe campaign, said Howe is prepared to offer Bunner a job. Problem is, the campaign can't locate him.

"We haven't been able to make contact with him yet," Droogsma said. "We would like to hire him if we could get in touch with him."

Bunner was a multimedia journalist for KTTC-TV in Austin. He wore the hat Thursday while covering President Donald Trump's appearance in Rochester and images of him wearing the hat began appearing on Twitter.
