Voter fraud allegations from Detroits TCF Center ballot counting center are very concerning and require court intervention, former Michigan Secretary of State Ruth Johnson said in a court filing on Thursday.
Johnson filed an affidavit in support of the plaintiffs in a lawsuit, who are a group of Republican poll challengers suing Wayne County and the city of Detroit in Wayne County Circuit Court in hopes of halting the election certification, voiding the votes or ordering a new election.
Johnson, R-Holly, was Secretary of State from 2011 to 2018 and is now a state senator.
I believe that it would be proper for an independent audit to be conducted as soon as possible to ensure the accuracy and integrity of this election, Johnson said in the sworn affidavit.
