5. I hope they don't have some kind of rules where the legislature can override

a veto with a certain number of votes or have some other technicality or loophole to go around a veto. A lot of places have that.

Republicans do things that way where I live, plus thumb their noses at the courts when they get told they went overboard. They use stuff like that to force what they want, for the time being, just to stick it to a Democrat. They will come right back around, with rules like that, and change it back if one of them is in charge. They just go right ahead and use the laws, loopholes, and technicalities wily nily to do whatever they want whenever they want. I don't know why they get to do that, but in at least some states, they do all kinds of procedures to get their way....and they get away with it.
