Yoopers are a hardy bunch, and while some in Michigan's blizzard Monday found it "ruff," others were dogged about their routine.
Jenny Paltzer lives in Negaunee Township, near the Dead River Basin in Marquette County, an area that was buried under several feet of snow Monday.
But that didn't stop her neighbor's dog, Fred, from making his daily trip to her house in search of pats, playtime and treats.
Jenny's photo of Fred peering into her home while buried neck-deep in fresh snow had Facebook users laughing about his dogged dedication on a day when schools and offices were closed and snowplowers had their work cut of for them.
"Fred is like a old Keweenaw yooper aint nothing stopping him from his routine," one user commented under the photo, shared by Mark and Walt in the Morning, a radio program heard daily on Sunny 101.9 FM.
"Fred is safe, Fred got treats and Love before heading back home," the radio show posted.
