Or he might just let things go as they inevitably will, taking no specific stand but doing nothing to impede. That way he wouldn't be giving the anti-gay cabal any comfort. Obama's a politically shrewd guy.

Myself, I wish he would stick his neck out a bit more, but if he wins in November with at least part of a congressional majority perhaps we'll see things change somewhat in this as well as other areas.
