But the various “coalitions” should be closed to other states once formed. Whether it’s for coordinated openings or shelters in place or buying Ppe, the coalitions work together and the non-members are on their own to do what they want. Ideally, businesses, large and small, in the coalition states will support their governors’ decisions and present a united front. Same with the west coast states and the mid Atlantic states.

Let’s see where infections and deaths rise and fall. Let’s see who cones out on the other side of this in good economic, health, and political shape.

One more thing. These coalitions should assemble advisory panels consisting of real experts and they should hold daily press briefings on updates in their states. Coordinate with the other coalitions.
