I live in a state that would rather see Ted Cruz in the Senate than Beto O'Rourke? Seems folks here thought that "Beto" was some sly attempt to garner the Latino vote (it's an early childhood nickname that's quite common actually); so they tossed their vote to one Rafael "Ted" Cruz. Can't make this crap up. The mind reels . . .
