No church follows His teachings to the letter but that church I daresay got closer than a lot of churches do.

As for the people who spray painted the sign, they don't worship Jesus Christ of Nazereth. Rather they worship Jeeeeeeeezus who shares their hatred of the poor, minorities, immigrants, and the LGBT.
