I appreciate this, but these sources just show current districts, not the new ones.
I think we're just in a confusing transition period right now. To explain what I mean:
1. My corner of McHenry County is currently in district 6, represented by Sean Casten.
2. The rest of the county is in district 14, represented by Lauren Underwood.
3. Under the new districting, McHenry County will be split up between districts 9, 10, 11, and 16.
4. It's my understanding that when we go to the polls in 2022, we'll be voting according to the newly drawn district boundaries.
5. The primary isn't till June, and there's not much info available yet as to who will be on the ballot.
5. When the new congress is seated in January 2023, we will be represented by whoever got elected to represent our newly drawn district.
Right now, everyone in McHenry County is represented in Congress by either Casten or Underwood. When the new Congress is seated, no one in the county will be represented by either of them. This is what's been throwing me for a loop. I know and like both Casten and Underwood, and I don’t know who is going to be representing my neck of the woods after January, so this is going to be a big change. I just hope we stay blue!
