I would probably have the car packed and just go, probably hard to do if you've got large animals.

Just remember that western forests need those fires. They didn't get them for a lot of misguided decades of fire suppression and the forests are now sick. Fire is what will heal them.

It's just really tough on people who have gotten used to forest beauty.
