Fall foliage has reached its zenith, and beautiful scenes can be found over much of the Washington region. Even with cooler weather on the way, quality color should last for at least another week.

Overwhelming warmth for much of the fall delayed the color change by one to two weeks compared to most years. But recent chillier nights have helped move things along.
