1. Neat! I saw these Pileated Woodpeckers flying from tree to tree down at my Mom and Dad's (and my adjoining property)...

they were beautiful to watch, and they are massive in size. I noticed them mainly because being in the wild Ozarks, you never knew if you would spot a more rare ivory billed woodpecker instead in the somewhat remote area of the Ozarks that we were located at. We saw quite a bit of wildlife (being behind a state park helped), so we saw quite a few critters. I do miss it, but at least, my sister and family still have the place.
