Today* in Hawks*** Around Town – Pileated Woodpecker chicks

Thanks to Christopher for sending: “a pair of Pileated Woodpecker chicks right off Connecticut Ave overpass of the Klingle trail, the tree is 20 yards from the bridge with the nest and you can hear them calling their parents.”

If you spot a hawk, any interesting wildlife or celebrity skateboarder Tony Hawk, and get a good photo please send in an email where you spotted them to princeofpetworth@gmail.com. Thanks! Hawks around Town is made possible by a generous grant from the Ben and Sylvia Gardner foundation.
