Democrats Pull Ahead in Orange County Supervisor Races [View all]

As of Wednesday, Democrats led in both of the remaining competitive races for the Orange County Board of Supervisors, which are set to move to a runoff election in November.

The shift comes after several days of Republicans leading in the early results for the Fourth and Fifth District seats, which cover the northern and southern edges of the county respectively.

In the Fifth District, incumbent Supervisor Katrina Foley was in the lead Wednesday evening with 46.98% of the vote against Republican Assemblywoman Diane Dixon, who had 46.81% of the vote.......

If nobody wins outright, the top two candidates will move onto a runoff election in November.

Those two races will determine whether Democrats maintain a majority on the board of supervisors or if Republicans retake the top spots.
