Trashy and awful.

We did let our kids drink at our house after they were 18 but we had strict rules about it. We took everyone's car keys and had a behavior code--no loud or trashy behavior and absolutely no drugs. Our rationale was that if kids can get married, establish credit, and fight and die for their country, they should damn well be able to drink in a safe environment. We never had any trouble out of them and only had to ban one kid for awhile (his drinking was a bit out of control) and not allow one kid in the house because we knew he was selling drugs.
