13. it started raining just before the 8 or 9 fire trucks pulled out of here

they were here spending a lot of tax dollars on the ranch that probably wasn't needed. the fire did get out of hand to the north, but where it was on us...

yesterday after I kind of said, why waste all these resources on rangeland that probably just needs to burn they said there was concern about smoke on the interstate. yeah ok and yet it stayed smokey for both days anyway. I want to find out how much this cost. and the portion that was actually on the ranch especially.

anyway we got 42/100 so that was a good if somewhat late start. and didn't just wash all the ash down right away.

I want to post some pix but I am getting sleepy again. the heat is just brutal and hard to jump in the pool when a couple dozen firefighters in full gear are hanging around.
