12. Just another verse to the "deregulation" song they sing.

Same time the Uglycans sing "We're protecting your freedoms" they meet in the night to strangle everyone but their corporate benefactors. 2010 just after the midterms they spent much of the night passing huge corporate giveaway bills on the Federal level, Az shit all over us in kind.
"News media" never mentioned any of this except one I'll mention.
I just happened to be up, at an RV park near Seattle that had nothing better than C-span on their lousy cable. I Googled several of the bills they were passing fast as hotcakes as Democrats slept.
One of those bills was a "jobs" bill Republicans bragged about for years, led on their flocks about the "job creators". Oh yeah. I read the actual bill. It came with minimum profiteering stipulations specific egregious profiteering goals the named corporations had to meet before adding any employees! One of those was G.E.: who laid off hundreds of their workforce before the year was up. Still those fat, greasy MF'ers bragged on how their jobs bill *cough* created jobs, then turned right around to blame Obama for unemployment numbers.
Most of our government's shitty deals never get reported anywhere anymore. It's nearly all fake controversy sofball batting that contains very little information. That night served me up an angry plate of learning government tricks the Republicans are 99 percent complicit in bamboozlery. I was wide awake and angrier than ever at Republicans after that sleepless night.
Half of RayGun's repeal of the Fairness Doctrine did us all irreparable damage ever since.
Walter Cronkite often used to report "congress today passed "X" bill that effectively..."
I dare not say much more.
