A couple friends’ dogs have been diagnosed, and another friend has had a weird flare up from it. I had it 40-odd years ago - they used to say if you lived in Phoenix for 5 years, you would get it. Hasn’t been something I’ve heard much about lately (apart from dogs).
West Nile is bad here right now as well.
