Look up Portugese Man O War - everything I've read says that's what our southern critters are called but there are certain aspects of the MoW that is very unlike our bluebottles.

Only once, after an swarm of bluebottles washed up, I found several beautiful violet coloured sea snails which is a parasite that blows itself a little float and lives amount the bluebottles. How cool is that?
