Philly band SNACKTIME rocks the park [View all]

Philadelphia's SNACKTIME and opener PA Mambo Orquesta, one of our great local salsa bands, put on an electrifying show last night at Long's Park in Lancaster, PA.

SNACKTIME

SNACKTIME is Philadelphia’s already beloved seven-piece band, blazing a path cut from their soul, funk, punk, rock, jazz, hip-hop, and R&B influences. Created during the height of the pandemic, the group began performing free shows in Philadelphia's Rittenhouse Square that combined their love of music, food, and togetherness. They quickly amassed huge crowds and became a symbol of positivity and lockdown release, while showcasing the richness of their city’s musical history and community. This progressed to sold-out headlining shows in Philly, NYC, Miami, and LA, plus performances at festivals including Life Is Beautiful (Las Vegas, NV), Sea.Hear.Now (Asbury Park, NJ), Sound on Sound (Bridgeport, CT), and Eric Andre’s 40th Birthday Party (New York City).

2024 began with a triumphant sold out New Year’s Eve headlining show at Brooklyn Bowl Philly, before the band joined Impractical Jokers and Eric Andre’s “Get Ship Faced” Cruise from Miami to Bahamas and performed six SXSW shows including the Paste Magazine East Austin Block Party, Rolling Stone Funk Factory, South by San Jose, and an official SXSW showcase at Mohawk.

In February 2024, SNACKTIME supported Portugal. The Man on a national tour where they performed as direct support and also joined Portugal. The Man for the majority of their set. They’ll be hitting the road once again with Portugal. The Man this July, including a performance at the iconic Red Rocks Amphitheater. Select dates also include Tegan and Sara. These summer shows will follow the band’s biggest New York headlining show to date, June 20th at Bowery Ballroom. The band plans to tour extensively for the remainder of the year.

SNACKTIME recently finished tracking their studio debut, recorded and produced by GRAMMY-nominated producer Will Yip (Lauryn Hill, Turnstile, Bartees Strange). A 12” single featuring the first two songs from those sessions was released on February 1, 2024. More music is continuing to be released throughout the rest of the year.
