Seeing one of these at the site Monday was the main reason I returned today. They're frustrating; always busy. I watched this one for about 30 minutes before it finally lighted. It never spooked and was still perched after I took my fill of shots. I got within about 15 feet when the auto-focus went wacky. This is manually focused. I love the Sigma 100-400mm but it's a bear to manual focus while handheld.
