I'm glad to provide the technical details!

I used a Canon EOS REBEL T5i camera with a Canon EF-S 55-250mm lens.

You must use a solar fiter to photograph the sun in order to avoid damaging your eyes and the camera's sensor. I used an ultra dark optical glass filter with an exposure factor of 16.5 fstops.

I used a tripod and a remote shutter trigger to avoid movement of the camera during the shots.

I focused the lens manually.
