on the weekend. We worked our way down to Northport (where my friend was born) and on to Westport. Both are quaint, photogenic towns and of course we had to go to Matt Molloys pub. Matt Molloy was a flute player in the Irish band, the Chieftains. A typical pub with friendly characters and a good Guinness.
While talking to some folks on a corner bench they mentioned that they were starting to play in a few minutes and we were sitting where they play!! They were wonderful.
Good times and the Wild Atlantic Way is a great way to see the west of Ireland. A path that winds from the south to the north. Lots to see and do, especially Mayo, the west of Galway and Connemara. A photographers dream, at least for me.
