Don't go sailing though.

"Red sky at night, sailors' delight. Red sky at morning, sailors take warning." Very old saying used by mariners.

My mom used to say it all the time. She didn't sail or work on a boat for a living, but she did grow up trawling for crayfish. Trawl also means to sift. You sift through the mud and water to snatch up crayfish. A flat sieve works. Sure, you could do it by hand, grabbing up one at a time but that's only fun if you're curious. If you're doing it as a food source, you trawl.
