First with The Herd, then forming Humble Pie with Steve Marriott, and on to solo success. His guitar style is unique and very identifiable, mixing rock with jazz finesse. I saw him perform twice in the early-mid 70's opening up for The Kinks and ELO, and the audience responses were very enthusiastic on both occasions. Frampton is way past due for this honor.
