This was the quintessential Return To Forever that made what we now call fusion (originally jazz-rock) a definably distinct genre of modern music. Though not for everyone, fusion had a wonderful influence on other musicians of that era (i.e. Jeff Beck’s two masterpiece albums Blow By Blow and Wired), and despite huge advances in music technology, that version of Return To Forever still comes off as new and unique.

We have tickets to an Al Dimeola show for mid-November, and will be keeping an eye out for updates that might occur if his health remains a concern.
