Man was my post sloppy! I meant to flesh it out more, explaining that the "King" was Elvis Presley.

I also wanted to express that although Elvis was important to American music, and many consider him the "King of Rock and Roll", IMHO, he wouldn't be Aretha's King. To me, Aretha Franklin was so much more to many more people that Elvis. Many think that James Brown would be the King, but he's known as the "Godfather of Soul."

I was more struck that the dates were the same: 41 years apart.

In any case, please forgive my sophomoric post. I'll get better.
