But, he wasn't a bebop fan. He dug Stan's Cool Jazz period.
Weird, because it was a bebop album my dad never listened to that made me want to play like Monk.
I probably wouldn't have heard of Monk until my 20s if it wasn't for my dad's record collection.
Stan Getz & Paul Desmond were my dad's sax guys.
