New blog post: Beware the seller still secretly attached to their stuff [View all]

I can’t say that I blame them. I have an action figure collection and several sets of movie promotional glassware I got at fast food restaurants that I wouldn’t sell unless the price was REAL high. I love them and I want to hang on to them. But lately I’ve encountered folks who are actually listing their items for sale and then when I contact them, they hem and haw and ultimately end of rescinding their offer. Here are two recent examples.

I answered an ad from a guy who had “a box full” of adult DVDs. $2. a piece! NICE! When I called he made it clear they were “all straight and all white.” Lovely, a homophobic racist who loves his porn! But regardless, I’d be more than happy to take them off his hands. It isn’t a smart move to sell these on Amazon and they move slow on Ebay, but I do know a site that specializes in used adult movies and, because it lacks serious competition, you can price your inventory pretty high.

So the guy was happy I was interested and we set a time to meet up for me to look them over...
