12. I've always had an impression that encouraging the mega-sellers ruined the site.

I seem to buy lots of things on there still, but the difference in transactions between sellers who have hundreds of thousands of listings and a mom and pop operation with a hundred items is very apparent. With the first you feel like everything is rubber stamped and with the second you're likely to get a thank you note. The second is the ebay I like.
