(29,431 posts)49. Uni - a type of sushi. Here is the description -
Uni, or sea urchin roe, is a premium Japanese sushi delicacy featuring the creamy, custard-like, and sweet-briny gonads of the sea urchin. Usually served as high-end nigiri or gunkan-maki (battleship roll) wrapped in nori, it is renowned for its rich, umami-packed flavor. Due to its delicate, labour-intensive harvesting, fresh uni is expensive, often costing over
$12 per piece.
Well, the piece I had may have been past it "best by" date. It was disgusting. it felt furry in my mouth, and tasted terrible. I love most kinds of sushi and sashimi, but this was hideous.
I've never been brave enough to try again.

I agree about thin crust pizza. It tastes like a stale cracker with runny ketchup on it.
