(But I'm so thankful for the sense of taste that did return.)
Savory flavors especially are different. But the sour cream and onion chips at Whole Foods taste almost the same as the chips I had when I was young.

The kind I slice and fry up myself in avocado oil (usually). Salt & Potato Flavor!

At Christmas , I made an onion dip and used Lays. The chips kept breaking. into the dip.

Any chip that won't break off in my dip. If I have no dip, then sour cream and onion.
