A pet peeve... [View all]

It makes me nuts when people try to put food in my mouth without letting me see it.

I know it is a trust thing, but I also find it freaking rude. Very intrusive! And there is always that person who is determined to get you to eat something that you have said repeatedly you don't want to eat. It's controlling and annoying.

Part of eating something is examining it visually first, likely a leftover from our stone-age days when inspecting food might be a life or death protective habit.

Maybe I am paranoid. I don't even trust my best friend to "feed me" something without me seeing what it is.

Does that seem unreasonable???
