5. I don't understand the obsession with self-driving cars...

Tuesday

I drive out of necessity, but I COULD take an UBER or a cab (no viable public transportation in my urban area, it is still America after all)... but even IF there were self-driving cars, I have no interest in such a thing anyway. If THIS is the aim of AI - designing things that do stuff humans do (badly) already and then replicating them (assuming with the bad driving built-in - like running lights, cutting people off, lane shifting across traffic, and more) what's the point?
