4. Almost anything that involves some current performer re-recording a cherished & famous original version...

I made the mistake of playing Spotify Christmas selections for about a half-hour. Inevitably, it was performers "trying to make their mark" on the song and thus rendering it unlistenable--or trying so hard to simulate the singer(s) on the original/most famous version, but not quite getting there, that what the hell was the point? Play the original.
