It has a rare quality: it gets better every time I listen to it.

The Stones had a string of incredible LP's: Between the Buttons, Beggar's Banquet, Let It Bleed, Sticky Fingers, Exile on Main Street, Goats Head Soup, and It's Only Rock & Roll. Seven albums over eight years, and all amazing. They became a mere shadow of what they used to be, but back in the day there was no one better.
