when we resist replying to someone that they are a complete asshole even though the urge to do so is very strong?

This guy I went to high school with replied to a question about a good place to get Chineese take out, on a community board, with, "Why pay? There are plenty of cats around? Make your own." Though I am sure he thought he was being a comedian, I found it not only racist, but was angry as a cat lover. I reported him to the moderators and blocked the sicko. I have a sense of humor but somethings just push too many buttons.
